The chain of perfume and cosmetics stores Rive Gauche will start to open shop-in-shop format outlets in Lenta retailer's stores, the chain's president Edgar Shabanov told Kommersant.

The first unit with the area up to 100 square meters "Rive Gauche Express" will start working in January in one of the supermarkets "Lenta" in the Leningrad region, then the corners will appear in St. Petersburg.

As the newspaper notes, "Rive Gauche" is not the first perfume and cosmetic chain, trying the new format. Earlier L'Etoile launched its points in Perekrestok supermarkets. According to Mikhail Burmistrov, the general director of "Infoline-Analytics", FMCG-retailers are interested in the shop-in-shop format in order to increase the traffic.

According to the analytical company, this year the perfume and cosmetics market will reach 840 billion rubles, which is 2.4% more than in 2019.
